Variegated Meadowhawk
One of the many great joys of traveling is discovering new creatures, and this beautiful dragonfly fit the bill today. We headed out this morning for a 3 mile walk at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, always a favorite place to walk. There is always plenty to see and today didn't disappoint with over 30 species of birds, nutria, insects, spiders and even a Fox Squirrel. It got pretty warm while we were out so I was glad I'd worn layers with the last being a short sleeved t-shirt. We are now back at the condo relaxing and hydrating.
Tomorrow I will be headed home.
For a fun shot of a Norther Crab Spider who'd just shed his skin, see Extra.
