Carradalre Harbour Day

After several year's absence, the Carradale Harbour Day was back with a bang today.

Lots of stalls, competitions, burgers and beer for everyone to enjoy. The theme was "Pirates" but unfortunately I was away visiting an old herring fishing boat, The Shemeron (the blue boat in the background), when all the pirates paraded so a blip opportunity was missed!

Instead, I had to settle for the dog competition, which was considered to be the biggest success of the day. Lots of individual competitions from best dressed dog through shiniest coat, best trick, wiggliest tail and most appealing eyes to "musical sit" (otherwise known as musical chairs for dogs!). The blip shows some of of the entrants for the most obedient dog.

For some reason I kept thinking of Snapper's dogs as I watched the show and couldn't help wondering how they would get on!
