Summer Roadworks

A fairly cloudy morning, but cleared into a beautiful sunny afternoon and evening.  Fairly calm and warm.

Up at 5am again, early shift in the airport.  A mix of check-in desk, mostly meeting and boarding flights.  Our Bergen flights are now back for the summer.  All flights on time.  Met mam and Laura after work, we headed to the garden centre.  Working in the shop this evening, my gosh it's been super busy!  Quick pint, then head home.

That time of year, the summer roadworks have started again.  Our roads are well kept, not many potholes about.  In the short term, it can be frustrating, slowing down, the threat of a chipped windscreen or paint, but overall it's not worth the moaning folk do.  It seems to be causing a lot of hassel for commuters up and down the south mainland, missing appointments or such, but they are advertised on social media and local papers, folk need to leave earlier to catch that ferry.  They're currently working on a stretch from the Clift Hills and through the village.  Taken at the Blett Road junction, Cunningsburgh.
