Roll With It

Cheerio For Now

My last day at the Defence Gardening Scheme, I am unable to attend next week, as we were winding up there was a suggestion that I might be invited back for a further ten weeks with a new cohort. This new cohort will not be Military Veterans but having enjoyed the experience I would accept without hesitation.
I detoured home to pick up my new shoes, who doesn’t like new shoes, they are bright blue ‘Dudes’, excited.

Home to pick up Mrs S and onto Woodlane Campus to watch a students work, a film called “The Absence Of Normality”, an expression I’d not heard for a long time. It was part of the training mantra for military personnel undergoing training.
Mrs S and I, along with a dozen others were interviewed by Kaylee W as part of her project. I watched it and found myself immersed in it. I won’t say I enjoyed it, the subject matter doesn’t lend itself to that, but I felt moved by it.
