Clare's tours

Angela loves the series called Outlander and she wanted to visit some of the locations in Scotland. We had looked at tours but they all went from Glasgow or Edinburgh so today I drove her to her wish list of locations. The one she really wanted to see was Midhope Castle top right. The second one we went to was Blackness which is on the Firth of Forth with a fabulous view of the 3 bridges. We had lunch in a fabulous pub. We bought an ice cream from the little shop which is actually a corner of the pub! Next on to Linlithgow Palace and then Doune Castle. Doune Castle is closed but the man at Midhope told me we could see it from the river walk in Doune. We were amazed that we could actually go up to it and get great photos. The lady at the visitors' centre thought they were filming there. 
We've had a great day, beautiful blue skies, sunshine but there was a cool wind. Angela has really loved her day visiting castles. The weather forecast for the rest of the week isn't very good so we have made the most of today.
