First poppy

I spotted this had opened first thing from the kitchen window, even though it is at the very back of the garden, when I looked around yesterday they were still in bud. I took the photo but it hadn’t been intended for my blip.
I was meeting my friend in Saltaire for lunch, as there was no Pilates class today, a great place for blips but I realised when I arrived I’d forgotten to pick up my phone. My compact camera is winging its way for repair - a mark on the sensor has appeared since my repair in April, it really showed up on those Scottish blue skies - so no means of getting a photograph.

Lovely lunch at the Boathouse and then a walk around Roberts Park in a lull in the rain.

So today you get my first poppy. It’s certainly brighter than the day!
