Entropy...!

A definition of entropy is "the amount of..lack of order in a system", and we all probably know that everything tends to a maximum of disorder unless we work very hard to prevent it! So this is the scene which greeted me as I began to try to reduce the entropy in our garage today. This task has been necessary for a long time, but became more urgent recently as we have to clear our attic boxroom and we need somewhere to put the junk important items stored there. The plan is to have it converted it into a shower room as currently we have only one bathroom which gets a bit busy when we have family staying (we do have a second loo!). The first step is to have a Velux window fitted in the sloping roof of the boxroom and this may take place any day now.

I'm pleased to say that with a fair bit of work I've managed to throw out some junk slightly-less-essential items from the garage and create quite a bit of space. (If you're wondering why we have a collection of old milk cartons full of water - it's water from our dehumidifier (which we often use in the winter) and which is a handy source of deionised water for ironing.)

I had the idea of blipping this after having seen the blip which Rustycrapp posted of Mr isbi's mancave - I was pleased to see that his seems even more "entropic" than our garage! I probably still need to find my inner Marie Condo although I fear it's congenitally absent ;-))
