Through the Car Window
I pulled over on my way home from Aber Cafe after work to catch a look at the last train heading down the line. This is a Driver Experience train, the guest driver at the regulator supervised throughout by one of our senior drivers. His family travelling First Class in the train are the only passengers. I had stayed on alone to serve the buffet and clear up afterwards.
It had been a good day throughout, another extra train brought a larger party who were remembering Mike, pictured here, whose ashes were interred at Brynglas Memorial Garden beforehand. A life well lived. It had turned into a perfect summer day, a blessing.
