Through the square window.....
Another awful morning, weather-wise, so we decided we'd stay put as the forecast looked a bit better for the afternoon. It did get better, so we took W's sister for a ride on the railway. Steam hauled by Hercules over to Sheringham where we had a wander down to the sea front. Although it had stopped raining the wind was coming off the sea straight from the north and was not only really cold, but so strong that we almost had trouble standing up in it! Needless to say, there was no-one on the beach.
We stopped for a coffee but there was no real incentive to hang around or go for a walk, so we headed back to the station. This time it was the heritage diesel railcar, and we got seats in First Class right at the back with the 'driver's eye' view. This is the view before we left Sheringham station.
