Common Box Turtle
I was awake but not out of bed when Parker drove into the driveway this morning before 7:00 am. He stopped by to borrow a pair of garden gloves. He has poison ivy all over his hands. Not sure the ones he chose will protect from further reactions and I surely do not want them back. After breakfast, we went outside. This inquisitive box turtle greeted me. We have at least three living on the property. The weather was perfect for gardening. Hubby mowed the grass including in the formal garden. I potted all the plants I bought yesterday, 12 total. By the time I’d cleaned up all the mess, it was noon. I made us grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and prepared a roast for dinner. Now it’s time to rest while the load of laundry finishes. We hope to pick the blueberries once the sun goes down. We had a pleasant productive day. Hope yours was as well. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.” ~ James Bryant Conant
