Success!

Yay is all I can say. It took us about 4 hours to carefully pack things up. I got every important thing I needed and some extraneous ones too. The weather was perfect. Tomorrow will be rainy and next week will be much hotter and more humid. I am more than grateful to Dan for being such a good sport. I can reach the kayak and I will take it out on Sunday for a last paddle in Smith Cove.
A good friend from choir came over this afternoon and we had a nice catch up from both our lives. It is bittersweet because I just don't know when I will be back this way. She and her husband are both potters. She is just getting back into it. Holy cow, she made some beautiful bowls and brought me one as a gift. I absolutely love it and will treasure it. I will have no problem packing it in my suitcase to take home.
