Chaumont-sur-Loire

We set off for our much needed and longed for summer holidays today. We were super organised and packed the car the night before so all we had to do was attach the bikes this morning.
The journey took longer than we thought it would due to a number of accidents on the roads including one rolled car and lots of ambulances whizzing past, especially on the Boulevard Périphérique in Paris. Due to having a loaded car and especially with having all our bikes meant we had to drive slower than normal which was a good thing as we weren't in any hurry.
We decided to break up our journey with a two night stop in The Loire Valley and we rented a lovely little house only 500m from the Château. The above photo was taken when we went for a little explore and a walk to stretch our legs. Originally we had been posing for the photo and we got some nice ones and then Hubby kept snapping as Olivia went in for a kiss and Dex was having a snuggle. One of those photos that I will treasure as it is so natural and reflects in my mind what we do all the time.
