I see these insects around the yard every summer. It’s a Clubbed Mydas Fly, native to Eastern North America. Clubbed because of its clubbed antennae but no need to be concerned, they’re harmless; they don’t bite and don’t have a stinger. But, Oh So Pretty! • We’re not enjoying today’s heat or humidity, nor are we looking forward to the severe storms coming this afternoon and evening.
