Confederation Bridge

I'm on the Island tonight. This is the bridge we crossed to get here. I added another one taken under the bridge in the extras.
The day started off good. Then we decided to take the scenic route along the Amherst Shore and I had planned to cut across to the highway to take us to the bridge. First there was a construction detour, part of it on a gravel road. When we got back to the road that I wanted to be on, there was a sign that gave the mileage to Amherst and to the Confederation Bridge. But there was no sign saying where to turn to take cross country to the Bridge. So we ended up going thru Amherst, which added about an extra hour to our driving time.
Everyone had supper together, a potluck BBQ, tonight. Rain in the forecast for tomorrow, so we are not sure what we will do. Possibly an indoor game of mini golf and a visit to Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, plus some driving around. We will go out for supper tomorrow night. K and I are only staying 2 nights, so we will leave early Sunday morning and catch the ferry back to Nova Scotia.
