Brancaster Staithe
This morning Gavin, Xena and I went for a run. It was cooler today but thankfully quite bright.
After breakfast Adam, Anna and Tommy went to the gym while Gavin and I went to Brancaster Staithe to see the boats at high tide. It was no a very high tide and Gavin was considering going sailing, but when it started raining the idea became less appealing. I liked these three boats at anchor in the creek - later we watched a group of people get into the boat in the front and go out for a sail in her. There is a view of the boat yard with a gull watching over it in the extras.
We left the Staithe and I wanted to show Gavin the poppies I saw yesterday, and on our way we found some more poppies growing in a field - see last extra. We have not found an entire field of poppies though.
Back home for lunch, the gym crew had returned and we had lunch together. Tommy than had a maths tutoring session, it will be his last one as his student writes her final exam next week. We lazed about all afternoon and the weather went from rain to sunshine and back again.
Tonight we are going out early, we are going to a highly recommended restaurant we have tried to get a booking previously but were unsuccessful. It is a tasting menu and we have to be there at 6pm to get through all the courses!
