Keeping it in the Family

Not long ago the railway marked a remarkable first when newly promoted Driver Becky Sharpe was joined on the footplate by her sister, Fireman, Debs.   Today Becky is driving No2 Dolgoch and her dad is the fireman while Debs is assistant guard.  A grand family outing :-)

I was on kitchen duty at Aber Cafe today, rather than being 'front of house.'   A busy day, especially with two parties coming for full afternoon tea and two others for cream teas.  Thanks to Hannah's hard work yesterday, I only had to make up the food for one party who had booked overnight but there were plenty of other requests for hot food too so it was all go.  A testament to my generally improved health that the non-stop eight hour day did not wipe me out ... have not even needed a snooze after :-)

Apart from food, I've had a lazy evening but will take Meg out soon if it stays dry.   We have had some fierce showers today and limited sun between.
