Vieux Boucau
We dropped Olivia off at Leo's Fun Station for kids this morning with a packed lunch, bottle of water and suncream. She was super excited and not at all shy, unlike a year ago if we'd have tried to do the same. She had chosen to do the fun Olympics (from 10am to 2pm) as apparently her favourite sport is the long jump. When we left she was holding court and no doubt bossing everyone around.
We took the opportunity to cycle to Vieux Boucau, a little town not too far away and this time Dexter managed to stay awake on the bike! I really liked this little town and enjoyed pottering around the market and shops and stopping off for an ice cream with Dex. The local cakes and breads are all so delicious and yes we did buy some little cakes to take back home for lunch. I bet they won't last long with us four!
Olivia had a fab time at Leo's and was soaking wet when I collected her as they ended up playing water sports as it was hot today. She has already chosen the next activity that she would like to do and now she claims to just love 'One Direction' as apparently they were playing some music for the kids to dance to! A quick change and then we headed to the swimming pools for more fun where both kids delighted in jumping over the waves in the wave pool.
We had a BBQ this evening which fascinated the kids and whilst Hubby was cooking myself and Olivia played badminton with a giant shuttle and Dexter drove his newly acquired toy bus (which he purchased with his holiday money from Granny Franny) over rocks and bugs and stuff.
Hubby did a good job with the barbie and it was nice sitting out on the veranda to enjoy it.
