Turrets Garden and some floral beauties.
I got up at around 8am after going to sleep in the early hours due to it being 26 degrees. at the normal bedtime. I was unable to get cool enough to sleep so watched TV, then read and eventually I was too tired to stay awake. Nearly 2:30 am by then!
I have been watering the planters and blipping some beautiful roses, cosmos and purple delphiniums, but the results were not amazing as the sun was full on at that stage.
Chatted to Maria before she went for a walk with friend Heather and her doggie Jasper.
Then spent an hour reading People's Friend short stories in the Turret's Garden and another book I am into, The Radical Practice of Loving Everyone, by Michael J Chase. He started a project called The Kindness Center, in America, to encourage acts of kindness to make the world a better place.
He makes the point that he was inspired greatly by a dog he rescued from a miserable life, and this is Mollie's story too.
A real page turner even for a cat lover like me! No, all animals can teach us so much if we don't eat them, or just spend time understanding them, and respecting their freedom and special qualities..
My favourite bench under the Laburnum tree is a nice peaceful spot, and sometimes there is bird song as well.
Have a super Tuesday and put on lots of sun cream. Go and top up the Vitamin D.
Take care of your eyes in the hot weather.
I am inspired to share this website after reading an article in People's Friend, this week's edition. www.whatsyoureyeq.co.uk
