Weston Park International Air Show

We spent a couple of hours at this annual event at Weston Park today.  Not our original plan, but the eventing at Catton Park had to be abandoned first thing this morning after torrential rain overnight.

These two model aircraft are massive!  The commentator said they were 65% of full size.  They were flown expertly in tight formation during the display, something I found most impressive.  I was using the auto focus plane subject detection for the first time on the Z8 and it did a great job. even tightening onto the cockpit on some occasions when the aircraft came closer.  When I think of my first experience with a serious camera in the 1970s, having to manually focus, using the matte screen with a fresnel field and split-image rangefinder, how things have changed.
