Day 13

A beautiful day, so we headed up the Lutour Valley on a path which is just outside the National Park boundary, so dogs are allowed. It was a steep climb through the forest, past the Lutour Falls, then on until finally coming out onto pasture alongside the river which wasn't dropping quite so dramatically at that point. There is a lake further up the valley, but, unfortunately, we had to make the decision that it was a step too far, and too warm for our springer once we'd left the forest shade, so turned back and returned by a slightly different forest route. Nearly 16Km altogether.

The Blip shows how to photograph butterflies - it was obviously attracted to our springer's blue lead - I actually missed it the first time but it came back to pose for me again. The extras show the falls and the open valley once we'd left the forest.
