A Touch of Beauty…..

…. On a sad day. Sad because of loss but happy to share memories of a very special lady who passed away on the 12th of June. She was Margaret’s partner, Steve’s mother and the loving glue that held the extended family together. Margaret and I drove to Nelson for the funeral this morning. Steve and Emily were already there. It was a very lovely service and great to catch up with family and friends. And so we farewelled Beryl, gone from us in body but here with us in spirit. RIP Beryl.
The venue was Marsden House and upstairs was a large sitting room where we met for refreshments afterwards. It is an old building with lots of wood paneling and a stunning painted window high up near the ceiling. A truly work of beauty, it took my breath away
