Summer Solstice ‘24

I was looking at the best time to go and take a picture of the summer solstice, thinking it would be very early tomorrow morning, but it seems that for the first time since 1796, it is actually today the 20th June. All to do with the exact moment of the tilting sun of course.

Good enough for me, especially if I don’t have to get out of bed till my usual 7 o’clock ish time :-)

So I went off down the beach after dinner this evening, although still a hour before the actual time, it was pretty wonderful down there. Couple of extras you might like too.
