First thing this morning, I walked in beautiful sunshine along the road to the post box. The unmown roadside verges were a mass of grasses and wildflowers: there were poppies, moon daisies, buttercups, clover, cow parsley, yellow sow thistle, tall purple-pink mallows, and near the post box some spotted orchids and yellow birds foot trefoil. Our small roadside post box emerged from a profusion of frothy cow parsley, surrounded by darker vegetation - so pretty!

It's been a quiet day - pleasantly slow, with a few household jobs, some chats with P, and lots of the things J needs, as her PA is away today. I hope I'll be more productive tomorrow, but sometimes we need days like this.
