VIP treatment

I’d been given early access at a reduced price to the newest restaurant in the Six by Nico family which opens to the public at the start of July. I booked for today to take my friend Susan for an early birthday treat and it was superb. I was welcomed by name from the lovely host Alistair and we were shown to one of 2 booths instead of the usual table for two. The menu was the Chippie which we’ve both enjoyed in the past but there have been a few tweaks so it was good to experience it again.

A fabulous couple of hours eating tasty food and enjoying the matching wines. We wandered along Princes st to the St James quarter to meet Mr PHL and Phin who wanted a look in the LEGO shop. Love the fact that lots of the shops are dog friendly but did worry in John Lewis that the dog would disgrace himself but he behaved impeccably.

We went back to Susan’s house to see what she’s done since moving in. The house looks lovely and she’s recently had some decking installed and summerhouse built, to be known forever as the Prosecco hut!
