Diary of an Edinburgher

Spent all morning continuing clipping the hedge. I even got the big ladder out, but I felt too wobbly on it, and thought that I'd better not chance my luck. So I left the top of the third hedge for JR when she came home from the gym. I busied myself sweeping up. It was this activity that put my back out... DRAT!

But we had a lovely afternoon in the back garden with Christine. She brought Dougal, of course, and her niece's dog, Bonnie. Archie gets on fine with them, but obviously thinks they're just silly young things, as they charge around the garden chasing each other, while he looks on in disdain at such frivolity. But trying to get a shot of all three of them near each other, let alone an action one proved too hard.

Later, Christine's niece, Bonnie's mum, joined us after her work. Us retirees forget about it being a working day - it's always the weekend for us.

I have my long awaited appointment with the neurologist tomorrow, which is why I'm really annoyed that I've put my back out, as it's not my back that's the bother.
