Watching the waves

We were packed fairly quickly this morning and enjoyed our last breakfast on one of the balconies. We spent some time walking to the other beach and sat in the shade watching the waves. It was fairly hot but with a wind hence the waves. The distant hills in today’s blip are the mainland, the Peloponnese. After some time we walked back to the main beach and had some lunch.

It was then time to return to the hotel for our taxi to the airport. We have enjoyed our time on this very quiet, relaxed and friendly island. The accommodation was good. Certainly a place to visit again.

Our journey back to Heathrow went well although it was quite a shock going from the small airport on Kithera with very few amenities and where you walk across the tarmac to the aeroplane to then arrive in Athens airport with hundreds of people all around you and try to work out which direction you want to go.

We arrived in London fairly tired and found our overnight accommodation relatively easily.
