Field barns

I am told that the field barns in upper Swaledale are known throughout the world, somehow I am not convinced.
The landscape is great and I do love the field barns and the houses scattered about.
We walked into the village before breakfast for a newspaper and then packed up and drove to Gunnerside. Excellent walk, warmer than yesterday with a bit of drizzle.
Arrived at next site in time for coffee and book before cooking dinner.
So enjoying this trip as visiting places and walking areas we did in our teens and early twenties, bringing back great memories.
