The Verge at Junction 23
Prodigious quantities of musk mallow have been blooming in the verges alongside the A512 in Loughborough all the way up to M1 Junction 23. It's a very pretty pink flower, more attractive than the common mallow.
There has been ground clearance since Basil and I went there perhaps a month ago. Like a scorched earth policy. Then, the ground was full of charming small wild flowers and greenery. The clearing of the ground seems to have made the traffic much louder.
To market this morning. Finkins still not open to dogs so we had coffee from the Deli at No 5.
Roofers have been here all day.
