Today we cruised to Akureyri, further east along the northern Icelandic coast.
We went on a trip that took us to these amazing waterfalls, called Godafoss. Just incredible to be up close to it and a photo can never do it justice.
Next we travelled through Dimmuborgir - a huge area of lava fields which looked amazing. We had a walk through one area and seeing it up close makes me realize how scary it must be to be near an erupting volcano.
Next to Namaskard - an area of hot mud springs. This was really interesting, and all around were vends with steam coming through as well as bubbling mud and amazing colours all around.
Then to Myvatn - where JP and a few others went in the hot natural baths - didn’t fancy it myself!
Finally back to the ship and onwards towards the Orkneys.
