One down ,one to go....

This wee bull calf was born during the night. That only leaves one more cow to calve in my spring calvers. At this rate we will be started autumn calving before the spring calvers finish. All the experts tell you to only put the bulls out for a set period and anything that's not in calf by the end should be culled. I'm of the opinion that a late calf is better than no calf,you can't sell no calf !
The wind finally dropped allowing me about an hour to get fertiliser spread on another silage field before the rain started again this morning.
The silage I mowed yesterday is now wet so no baling today.
Nipped off for a couple of hours with Mrs F to walk the terriers at Portobello beach and grab a coffee. They behaved quite well despite there being far too many people for my liking. I much prefer Gullane,more beach,less folk. (You can tell I'm not a townie type person)
More rain tonight. Will it never end ?
