Under threatening skies.....
A dry ,sunny day,so took the chance to bale and wrap the end rigs of the 35 acre field I mowed on Friday. It has a steep brae face with a flat top to the field,so you have to watch when letting bales out the baler as they can end up taking off down the hill.
Wee brother came over to take over wrapping while I went back to finish baling.
Was finished by 5.30pm so that's another 92 bales added to the pile.
The sky was looking threatening tonight and we did have a shower of rain. Don't know when I'll cut the rest of the field going by the forecast !
Did spot lots of wildlife round the farm today though. These are some things I saw.
A pair of buzzards.
A pair of oyster catchers
A moorhen
A coot
29 geese
Far too many magpies
5 hares
2 deer
15 lapwings in one flock
And 2 spotted woodpeckers at the kitchen window bird feeder.
But farmers are destroying the countryside !
Aye right........
