Raindrops
It was dry this morning as I went to my Pilates class. I then went in search of leek seedlings and tried two more garden centres but there were none. I am rather late and most places have only certain plants left now. I did buy some golden beetroot seedlings though.
The rain started late morning and became quite heavy by the afternoon. We spoke to our son who is now recovering from his cold/flu/covid infection and he commented on how heavy the rain was where he was. It was by then very heavy here as well. A little while later I was chatting to my sister who said it had been quite sunny this afternoon, as she said this the sun started to come out here. I then decided to do a little weeding on the allotment and headed down the road to it.
M managed about 10 minutes of weeding and then it starts dto rain so I sheltered in the shed thinking it would ease off soon. That didn't happen and it became heavier. I busied myself tidying up various items but the rain continued. It's a very small shed with cobwebs everywhere. It then started to thunder followed by large hailstones. I started to wonder if I could make a makeshift hat out of the items around me and then decided I would just have to get wet and change my clothes. It's only a few minutes walk to our house anyway but then it very quickly eased off and stopped. I must have been stuck in the shed for about 30 minutes.
