Double Trouble...
A day spent spreading the 10 tons of fertiliser that was delivered yesterday.
It's going onto the fields that were cut for silage a fortnight ago to try and get a second cut. I've decided that the roads are a disgrace. Going down through Gorebridge with a full load on the back of the tractor was a nightmare with all the bumps. The tractor would start bouncing and you had no steering when the wheels are in the air. My 2 copilots were like the nodding dogs you used to see in the backs of cars years ago.
By tonight I had the 4 loads done, with a round trip of 10 miles each time. By the time I had power washed the tractor and spreader, decided to give the tractor an engine oil and filter change, and loaded up a trailer with barley for wee brother's sheep it was 9 pm. So another late tea.
The joys.....
