Goldfinch

So there I was this morning, turning a corner on a very narrow path, when I nearly bumped into this goldfinch.  I don't know who was more surprised, but I'm happy to say I recovered quicker and popped off half a dozen shots before it flew off.  Somehow it does seem rather early for clouds of thistledown, but in fact there's plenty around, here being mightily enjoyed by this little fella.

Apart from that it's a pretty quiet Sunday.  J has taken Duke off to watch the footie with friends and K is out with her partner and his kids plus the two little dogs, so quite extraordinarily I have the house completely to myself.  It won't last, but meanwhile it's wonderfully peaceful  ;))

Just a WFW reminder: WFW24_15 finished at midnight last night (13th) so we're now on to WFW24_16 until midnight Saturday 20th.
