Hidden fruit

These physallis seem impossibly exotic, but it is clearly hot enough in the garden to keep them happy. Definitely too hot out there for less exotic species (I mean me) so I picked up the painting baton which was dropped several months ago and sanded and sugar-soaped a couple of doors, and painted one. Well, I say one, but all the doors here come as sets of two, so two really.

Later, after the exciting tour stage today, a spell in the garden trying to tame the armpit-high lawn. All was going well unti I lost the spring out of the strimmer...
