Lord of the Dance at the Edinburgh Playhouse
I had a feeling that Mummy hazelh might enjoy a night at the theatre to see Lord of the dance, so earlier this year I bought two tickets for tonight's performance in Edinburgh. I am really glad that I did because she absolutely loved the spectacle from our seats in the circle at the Playhouse.
Mr hazelh was a complete star in providing transport to and from the theatre. Once out of the car, I managed reasonably well navigating Mummy hazelh's wheelchair. A couple of kind strangers and theatre staff helped me with the tricky bits.
Whether Mummy hazelh will remember our night out tomorrow is doubtful. I have found some videos of the show online to entertain her, should the expedition be wiped from her mind.
Despite an interruption in the middle of the night when our flatmate emerged from her bedroom hunting for food(!) a good night's sleep set me up the activities of earlier in the day: a triathlon of exercise; Mummy hazelh admin; dropping off some silverware for engraving; raspberry harvesting; and cooking an early supper for the three of us.
I also started investigating the possibility of a Norwegian fjord cruise in November - for a couple who think that they would hate a cruise (us!) Any hints and tips from fellow blippers on such a holiday would be very welcome. I suffer from travel sickness so I also need to know from trusted sources whether consideration of this idea is actually sensible. The tour company web sites seem to play down the possibility of sea sickness in the sheltered fjords...
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; 7k run; 3.6 mile bike ride (in hunt of the engraver); walking (15,623 steps including run).
