What better place to spend a lovely warm summer’s day.
Relaxing and peaceful walk round the gardens. Not busy, which surprised us.
They have been doing a lot of work over the last 12 months and it is still ongoing.
I must say we like the new layout.
The perennials in the new beds are beginning to fill out.
Nice to see people making use of the deckchairs which were placed all over the garden. Such a good idea.

No queue at Bettys Tea House, where we bought fresh salmon and prawn sandwiches for lunch and sat outside in the shade.

The gardens were certainly looking their best.except the vegetables. They looked as if the bad weather wehave had so far this year has effected them just as in our garden, and there wasn’t the profusion of sweet peas either. Infact ours look better!
However we have had a really enjoyable day.
Would be nice if this weather would last a bit longer.
