Newport

What a day! We should have arrived in South Wales early afternoon but it took three hours longer than predicted due to what seemed like a continuous stream of roadworks and congestion.  

We finally reached Newport about 4pm and decided to seek out the restaurant we visited when last here. It made for a pleasant break on a hot day and afterwards we had a short walk around the sadly rundown town centre before continuing to our Premier Inn here in East Cardiff.
