A Watery View

We went for a walk along the riverbank at Tadcaster this morning..before the sun got too warm!

We stood for ages watching sand martins flitting around the river and in and out of holes in the bank. Sadly not close enough to catch them with the little Lumix camera.

Spoilt for choice for a blip today…the main shot is actually a reflection in the beautiful still water of the River Wharfe. I have however flipped it both horizontally and vertically…if you look closely at the lower branches on the left you can see some sight ripples.

I also found some mushrooms (extra 1) and we spotted some bees on an air brick at the river gauging station (extra 2)..the buzzing noise was amazing.

I had a ‘slight’ mishap when I was unloading the dishwasher last night…caught my finger on a (very sharp) knife ..the kitchen soon resembled a scene from Sweeny Todd’s barber shop!  I managed to cover up my finger with several plasters and wads of kitchen towel. I went to bed with a latex glove on so that I didn’t get the clean bedding bloody. Sadly when I got up this morning and took off the glove and plasters it was still bleeding. I can safely say that my blood thinners are doing their job…

Bleeding has still not completely stopped (mid afternoon) … running out of plasters now…
