Had a phone call with someone at Optical Express, just to go over things and reassure me that getting TWO eyes done at the same time was a Very Good Idea…

The countdown to the op has begun - I go and see the optometrist next week, something about washing my eyelashes with baby shampoo, but JR will come with me so that she knows where to come and pick me up after the op.

Definitely quite WARM today we took a walk across to the new cafe (in the old hospital) and sat in the lovely big quiet, window filled room, with comfy seats, sofas and tables for laptops (free wifi). I can see it being very popular in the winter, with students who can’t afford to heat their flats, but it’ll also help the many cafes that have to contend with students hogging tables for hours over a cup of coffee.

I decided to get the bus home, while JR intended to walk further with Archie, but didn’t - she was home before I was.

Because I got the bus, I just happened to have to pass the grocer… Yes, I had to pop in for more peas. Well, it’s such a short season!

I was pleased to find athletics on this afternoon.
