Candy-striped Feeder

After the exertions of the past week today was a quiet day - the most energetic thing done was hanging the washing out to dry!

I took a quick walk round the garden which was looking pretty colourful after a week away - I'm not sure how much rain fell during the week, but nothing seems to have died or been eaten.

The thyme was smothered in flowers, and was very popular with the bees and hoverflies (extra).  I also spotted this colourful spider,  a Common Candy-striped Spider - though whether she was just waiting for some prey of feeding on the nectar only she knows.
