Compare The Meerkats

Had a fab day out with daughter and granddaughters at Yorkshire Wildlife Park today.

It was surprisingly quiet and we didn’t get wet! It was mostly cloudy with some sunshine..and was pleasantly warm.

It is such a lovely clean place..and the animals all have huge enclosures and seem very happy and healthy.

I only took my little Lumix..not wanting to lug around 2.5kg of SLR and lenses..which made getting usable photos a challenge as the lens is only 120mm in 35mm equivalence!

We were delighted to see the new cheetah cubs..only three months old and allowed out into the main enclosure just two days ago….first extra (sorry about the quality but they were a long way away so I had to crop - a lot).

We also watched the wallabies doing zoomies around their paddock and spotted one mum with a joey, grabbing a sneaky snack..second extra.

Added another of a polar bear - wandering off after devouring lunch!!
