Ammi

This is a plant I saw growing in a flower bed alongside some lovely sweet peas. I was told it was an Ammi plant, and that the person had grown it from seed. Also know as large bullwort. I had not heard of it previously and the heads were much bigger than the usual wild  ‘cow parsley’. It is used quite a lot for flower arrangements.

Today we had quite a lot of rain travelling back from Dorset but traffic was fine. We were surprised to find that the lawns and playing fields are much greener than four days ago! So there has obviously been a lot of rain here so my garden plants and pots are fine…..but yet more slug damage, particularly the hostas.
