Mountain Mahogany
I went for a nice 4 mile hike this morning at Pilot Hill. Most of the wildflowers are done for the season at this elevation. I was walking by bushes of what I thought at first were currants but they had these beautiful feathery tails everywhere. I knew that wasn't what currents did and used my trusty ID. These were mountain mahogany bushes and these are the seeds from where they flower. I have put a photo of a whole bush in the extra. The light shining off of the seeds was beautiful.
