The main reason for choosing London to celebrate three forthcoming anniversaries with the family, was to see our granddaughter sing with the Halle Junior Chorus at the BBC Proms last night.  It was a marvellous concert with excellent reviews of a new work by Sir James MacMillan’s Timotheus, Bacchus and Cecilia and Mahler’s Symphony no 5.  Facing the Albert Hall is the Albert Memorial which looked splendid last night lit up but my photos included some of the family so here is one taken today as we walked through Kensington Gardens before visiting the Science Museum and several other places.
