We had a great day with Sam and Zoë.

With the skill and supervision of their grandmother they made waistcoats. It was wonderful to see them create clothes that they could wear.

The children learned how to draw on the material around the pattern and cut around the line. Then, to put the pieces together, Nor'dzin controlled the sewing machine while the children stepped on the pedal.

It was a full day of work (with breaks for meals and snacks, of course) and the children were delighted with the results.

They went home wearing their new waistcoats
