Day 31 Abadín to Vilalba
Another gentle day mainly off road along tree lined paths, in sunshine after a misty start. The guidebook warned about extremely heavy traffic in Vilalba making it impossible to see the Camino way marking. Today it was completely deserted of cars and people and everything closed. I had forgotten it was Sunday so I’m having an improvised supper from various emergency supplies.
Earlier I explored the ghost town and the shops made me think I was in some sort of 1960s film set, at least two were exclusively children’s clothes shops “for your first communion”, written in English which I thought a little strange.
Several pilgrims on the route today and again I walked intermittently with M from Germany.
A short day, and a mainly flat one around 23 km.
