Down by the River

Elaine and l took the bus into Otley and l bought the spinach and ricotta rolls from the Italian baker at the Farmers Market. Will save them for tomorrow .
Then we caught the bus to Pateley Bridge and had a walk along the River Nidd. We found a lovely bench in the shade to just sit and watch the river. Nothing exciting but just good to be alive and share the beauty around us in such a peaceful setting with birdsong and the running river providing the soundtrack.
We made our way back and had a very good cup of coffee and an ice cream before catching the bus back.
We sat in my garden for a while and then went to my local for an excellent meal and a bottle of chilled Róse. Pleased to say the new chef has settled in and we were very happy with our choices.
Back lounging in my garden, it really has felt like summer today.
