Cinnabar

As the sun shone today we had a walk around our butterfly wood. It really seems like summer at last as there were over 100 Small Skippers, and Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell and Painted Lady butterflies. Plenty of bumblebees too!
Then I had a check in the beehives, and I now think there should be a little honey to harvest after this week of warm weather we are promised!
I harvested some good veg today including the first cabbage, which I am very pleased with. And it didn’t have any caterpillars in it, which is both good and bad - where have all the white butterflies gone?
