New Adventures

I wasn't really prepared for the weekend today.  For the first weekend in a long time, P had no college work to do so we looked around for something to do before deciding to head to Calderglen park.  We hadn't explored here yet, but had been assured by everyone that the council run zoo was great.

Sure enough, the zoo was small but perfectly formed with really beautiful plant beds as well as some environments that put larger zoos to shame.  My favourite was the skunk and the riot of kookaburras  who were being noisy and diving in the small stream in their enclosure.  The blip goes to this magnificent Lionhead though, just look at that froof.

There was a Nepalese resturant that P had been wanting to try for a while is East Kilbride, so we headed there for lunch and got fed like kinds with big pakoras, a curry, naan bread and a lassi each for only £25.  you don't get prices like that these days.  Needless to say, we didn't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day.

On the way home we stopped off for a wander around Chatelherault before vegging infront of the TV.  Watched Civil War which was good but not quite what I thought it would be.
